The 135th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) opened today (April 15th), and this is the largest spring Canton Fair so far. The exhibition area of this Canton Fair is 1.55 million square meters, and 28,600 enterprises are participating in the export exhibition. Currently, 144,000 overseas purchasers from 215 countries and regions have pre-registered. Among them, the number from the United States has increased by 21.4%, that from OECD countries has increased by 13%, that from Middle Eastern countries has increased by 24.7%, that from countries jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative has increased by 45.9%, and that from RCEP countries has increased by 15.5%. 288 leading enterprises and business institutions have confirmed their participation in groups, representing a 21.5% increase compared with the same period of the previous session.
